We are a not-for-profit organization that provides high quality outdoor programs for new and experienced paddlers, kids, families, schools and other outdoor professionals. For the past 10 years we have been teaching, learning and building strong programs which recognize the value that being active in the outdoors can bring to people’s lives. Contributing to the growth of an active and healthy community is an important part of who we are. Access to active outdoor recreation programs helps to build vibrant and strong communities. Many thanks to all who participated in our 10th anniversary celebration on July 5/6 The weekend turned out to be an incredible success - two days of community involvement, paddling, kids playing with KidActive instructors and their families, paddling demos, a great Sunday morning yoga session - outside on the grass and the climax of the weekend - a phenomenal evening of music.  Clear skies and majestic pines set the stage for an outstanding night of kids, families and community dancing and listening.  A huge thank you to all Paddler Co-op staff for their incredible energy and help, Carly Travers for leading a great Sunday morning yoga session, Sasha Kuehl and Mandy Joseph for organizing such a successful event, Ernie Coulas and his family for their contributions to date and immense support, Steve of Everything Less for his expertise and performance, Rock Hotel CO for their performance and devoted following and finally to Caledonia for a night of incredible music.  Caledonia stay on for a couple of days to turned the Boathouse into a great makeshift recording studio.  Stay tuned to http://caledoniatheband.ca for the release of their new album featuring the KidActive choir on one of their new songs.
